About us
Some people live their entire lives in confidence. They never experience exclusion, disrespect, harassment or violence, based on their identity. They do not have to explain their looks, their way of speaking, their religion, partners, families or any other aspect of their lives. They feel respected and respect others.
The WIDE working group was founded in spring 2021, to claim this way of living and working for everybody at the D-GESS Department.
We want to be a diverse and inclusive scientific community. We encourage responsible leadership and listen openly to different viewpoints, opinions, thoughts, and ideas. We strive to embrace a culture of respect and inclusion, where we value one another. By this, we aim at making D-GESS a space where people feel emotionally, physically and intellectually safe and where difficulties can be openly addressed and acknowledged.
Everyone is welcome to contribute to existing topics and/or suggest new items. We regularly share information about our current projects in working group meetings.
