Aydin B. Yildirim is a postdoctoral researcher in the European Politics group at the Center for International and Comparative Studies. He is currently conducting research in the framework of the European Research Council funded Project “EUROBORD“. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre of the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence as well as a Non-Resident Fellow at the World Trade Institute in Bern.
Aydin’s research primarily focuses on the political economy of international economic relations, globalization, and the politics of international trade. He recently finalized his EU-funded Marie-Curie project PROSPER that examined the politics of economic globalization and the role of multinational companies in global trade governance. He previously served as a Max Weber Fellow at the EUI, Visiting Fellow at the Nuffield College of the University of Oxford, and a guest lecturer at the University of Antwerp. Among others, his work has been published by International Organization, Review of International Organizations, Journal of Common Market Studies, and Global Policy. His manuscript titled “Value Chains and WTO Disputes” was recently published by Palgrave Macmillan.
